SBIRT: Screening.

This SBIRT demonstration is a short animated learning asset designed to help medical assistants navigate screening questions in a more patient-centered and conversational way.

Created in Vyond, the demo models how staff can re-ask or clarify screening questions when needed while maintaining a respectful, supportive patient experience.

  • Although screening questions were already built into the electronic health record workflow, staff often needed to re-ask, clarify, or further explain those questions during patient interactions. This created a need for support that went beyond system workflow and focused instead on communication, comfort, and patient-centered delivery.

The challenge was to create a quick, practical learning resource that addressed a real point of friction in the care experience without overcomplicating the process.

  • I designed this asset as a short animated demo that models realistic staff-patient communication in context. Rather than focusing on policy or abstract communication guidance, the goal was to show what patient-centered phrasing and clarification could actually sound like in practice.

Using Vyond allowed me to create a concise, approachable visual demonstration that could be used as a just-in-time support resource or integrated into broader staff training. The overall design emphasizes clarity, realism, and usability in a fast-moving healthcare setting.
